JESUS CHRIST

IS MY REFUGE

OUR MISSION

  • Our mission is to preach the gospel with boldness and clarity, proclaiming the good news of salvation through Christ. As Jesus said in Mark 16:15, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.’ We recognize this as a divine mandate, not an option.

  • Our mission is to disciple believers by teaching them to love and live the Word of God. As Jesus said in Matthew 28:19, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations.’ We embrace this as a divine mandate to raise up leaders who walk in thruth and maturity.

  • Our mission is to send out equipped servants who carry the knowledge and love of Christ to impact families, cities, and nations. As Jesus said in John 20:21, ‘As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.’ We live under divine mandate to take the gospel to the ends of the earth.

THE POWER OF HIS PRESENCE

  • We believe in one true God, eternally self-existent- the “I AM” (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10-11)- the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 1 John 4:7). God the Father is infinite, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love, mercifully, involved in the affairs of humanity, hearing and answering prayer, and saving from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ (Genesis 1:26; Luke 1:35; Matthew 3:16-17). This triune God is equal in power and glory, embodying eternal unity and relationship (Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 3:7-11).

  • We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, the second person of the Trinity, who is both fully God and fully man (John 1:1, 14; Philippians 2:5-11). He is the promised Messiah, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-38). He lived a sinless life (Hebrews 7:26; 1 Peter 2:22), performed miracles (Acts 2:22; Acts 10:38, and revealed the exact representation of God’s nature (Colossians 1:15; Hebrews 1:3).

We believe in His atoning death on the cross (1 Corinthians 15:3; 2 Corinthians 5:21), His bodily resurrection from the dead (Matthew 28:6; Luke 24:39; 1 Corinthians 15:4), His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Acts 1:9-11; Philippians 2:9-11), and His present ministry of intercession for His people (Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25).

We believe Jesus is the only way of redemption for mankind. Through His shed blood, salvation is received by repentance toward God and faith in Christ (John 3:3; Ephesians 2:8; Titus 3:5-7). The inward evidence of salvation is the witness of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:16), and the outward evidence is a life of righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24; Titus 2:12).

We believe that Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return in power and glory and reign over His Kingdom forever (Titus 2:13; Revelation 19:11-16).

  • We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, co-equal, co-eternal, and co-existent with the Father and the Son. He proceeds from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8-11). The Holy Spirit draws believers to Christ, baptizing them into the body of Christ, sanctifying, and sealing them until the day of redemption (John 1:33; Titus 3:5; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Romans 8:9,16, 23).

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer as Helper, Teacher, and Guide (John 14:16-17, 26). He reminds us of Christ’s words, leads us into truth, empowers us for holy living, and produces His fruit in our lives (Galatians 5:22-23; Romans 8:26-27).

We believe that Jesus Christ baptizes the seeking believer with the Holy Spirit and fire (Matthew 3:11; Acts 1:4-8; Acts 2), an experience distinct from the indwelling of the Holy Spirit at salvation. This baptism gives the believer with power for life, ministry, and witness, accompanied by the bestowment of spiritual gifts for the building up of the church (1 Corinthians 12:1-31). While there is one baptism in the Spirit, there are many subsequent infillings, enabling believers to continually walk in the Spirit and demonstrate the Gospel with power.

FOUNDATION

  • We believe that all Scriptures, both Old and New Testament, is the inspired Word of God—fully given by the Spirit, without error in the original manuscripts, and the infallible rule of faith and practice. The Bible is God’s revelation to mankind, the supreme authority above conscience and reason, never contradicting to reason, and the final standard for faith and conduct.

We are a church grounded on the unchanging Word of God. All that we do—whether teaching, discipling, preaching, or serving—is built upon the foundation of Scripture. We believe the Word of God is our final authority of faith and conduct, guiding every decision and action. Our mission is to remain faithful to God’s Word so that Christ may be glorified in His church.

  • We believe that prayer is essential to our daily walk with the Lord. We are committed to both individual prayer and corporate prayer as vital expressions of faith and communion with God. Through prayer we seek His will, draw near to His presence, and align our lives with His purposes. We believe prayer is the key given to us through the blood of Jesus, granting us direct access to the Father.

We are a church that believes in the power of prayer. Though we do not always know how to pray, we trust the Holy Spirit—our Teacher—who leads us in prayer. Prayer is one of the foundation of the believer’s life; without it, we have no power and cannot truly know the heart of the Father. We are committed to prayer.

  • We believe in the power of worship, both in the secret place and in the corporate gathering of believers. Worship is a foundation in Scripture and is continually expressed in heaven before the throne of God. Worship may be expressed through songs, dance, and instruments, as declared in the Word. We believe worship is more than expression: it is an encounter with God that breaks chains, brings deliverance, and strengthens the believer. All songs and expression of worship must be grounded in the Word of God, for we believe that God dwells in the praises of His people. Above all, worship exists to glorify the name of the Lord and exalt Him above all else.

We are a church that believes in the power of worship. We will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, as He desires. We commit to be a generation that worships the one and true living God, directing all honor, praise, and adoration to Him at all times.

  • We believe in the words of Jesus that the greatest commandment is to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and the second is to love our neighbor as ourselves. As the body of Christ, we are called to demonstrate this love through generosity and obedience to His Word. God gave clear instructions in Scripture to care for the poor, the widow, the orphan, and the foreigner, and we affirm our responsibility to do so being directed by the Holy Spirit.

We believe in what Scripture teaches concerning giving to the house of the Lord through tithes, offerings, and firstfruits. This practice is both an act of worship and obedience to God, acknowledging Him as our source and provider. By bringing our tithes, offerings, and firstfruits, we honor the Lord with the first and best of what He has entrusted to us. This giving provides for the work of ministry and the expansion of His kingdom. We give with faith, thanksgiving, and generosity, knowing that all we have comes from God and is to be used for His glor

  • We believe that all people, through the fall of man, are separated from God and have no hope apart from His grace (Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12). In His love, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to provide redemption through His sacrificial death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead (John 3:16; Romans 5:8). The shed blood of Jesus is the only sufficient payment for sin and the only means of reconciliation with God (Hebrews 9:22; Acts 4:12). Salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, received through repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10; Titus 3:5). At the moment of salvation, the believer is born again, forgiven, justified, and sealed by the Holy Spirit, becoming a child of God and heir of eternal life (John 1:12; Romans 8: 16- 17). Salvation brings freedom from the power of sin and death for body, soul, and spirit, and gives the assurance of eternity with the Lord (Romans 1:16; Galatians 2:16; Acts 16:31).

  • We believe in the five-fold ministry as part of the body of Christ, given to equip and strengthen the church. Scripture declares that Christ himself gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers “to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature” (Ephesians 4:11-13). Each ministry has its unique function, yet they work together in unity to advance the Kingdom of God. Just as the human body has many members with different roles but operates as one (1 Corinthians 12:12-14), so too the five-fold ministry operates together for the health and advancement of the Church.

  • We believe that miracles and healings are works of God confirming the message of His Kingdom (Mark 16:17-20; John 10:37). Jesus and His disciples demonstrated these works, as signs of the Kingdom’s advance against the dominion of the devil (Matthew 4:23; 12:28). We believe that the same power of the Holy Spirit is available to believers today, empowering them to pray for the sick, believe for healing, and witness God’s miraculous works (Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Corinthians 12:9-10). Deliverance from sickness is provided in the atonement of Jesus Christ and is the privilege of all believers (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17).

  • We believe that through His death and resurrection, Jesus Christ triumphed over Satan and all the powers of darkness (Colossians 2:15). Deliverance is part of the believer’s inheritance in Christ, providing freedom from bondage, oppression, and torment caused by the enemy (Luke 10:17-19). As Jesus cast out demons by the power of God (Mark 1:34; Luke 4:41), so He has commissioned His Church to minister in authority and compassion through the power of the Holy Spirit. Deliverance is exercised through prayer, the Word, and the authority of Jesus’ name, for the glory of God and the advancement of His Kingdom (James 4:7; John 8:36).

  • We believe in the laying on of hands as a biblical practice for blessing, commissioning, healing, and impartation (Acts 6:6; Acts 13:2-3). It is used in the appointment and sending of pastors, missionaries, and leaders in ministry. Scripture also teaches the laying on of hands, along with the anointing of oil by the elders, as a means of praying for the sick and believing for their healings (Mark 16:18; James 5: 14-15). Through this practice, the Church continues the ministry of Christ in obedience to the Word and in the power of the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe that water baptism is an ordinance established by our Lord Jesus Christ for all believers as a direct commandment of Scripture (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38). Following faith in Jesus Christ, every new believer is to be baptized in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Acts 8:36-38; Acts 10:47-48). Water baptism is by full immersion and serves as an outward sign of an inward reality. It is not a means of salvation, but a response of obedience to Christ. It symbolizes the believer’s identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Romans 6:3-4; Colossians 2:12). Through baptism, the believer publicly declares faith in Christ, consecration to God, and a commitment to walk in newness of life (1 Peter 3:21-22; Hebrews 10:22).

  • We believe Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, is an ordinance commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 26:26-29). It is to be observed consistently by believers until His return (1 Corinthians 11:26). The Table of the Lord is for those who have placed their faith in Christ. The bread represents His body, which was broken for us (1 Corinthians 11:24). The cup represents His blood, shed for the forgiveness of sins (1 Corinthians 11:25). Both elements are witnesses of the New Covenant we now enjoy in Christ (2 Peter 1:4). Communion is a remembrance of His sacrifice on the cross. It is also a proclamation of His death and a prophetic declaration of His coming again. It is a time of thanksgiving, reflection, and renewal before God. Through the Lord’s Supper, believers participate in fellowship with Christ and with one another (1 Corinthians 10:16).

  • We believe that marriage is a holy covenant established by God, exclusively between one man and one woman in a lifetime commitment to each other (Genesis 2:22-24; Matthew 19:4-6). Marriage reflects the relationship between Christ and His Church and was designed by God for procreation, intimate companionship, and the foundation of family. We believe marriage is the only God-ordained context for sexual union and expression. Any intimate sexual activity outside of the marriage covenant is sin and contrary to God’s Word (1 Thessalonians 4:3; Ephesians 5:3).

  • We believe that God created mankind in His image, male and female, as revealed at birth (Genesis 1:27; Genesis 2:18-22). Sex and gender are inseparably determined by God at the moment of creation and cannot be legitimately changed by human actions. We believe that any attempt to alter one’s gender through surgery, medicine, appearance, or other means is a violation of God’s design and creative order. As followers of Christ, we are called to honor God with our bodies, submitting to His will and purposes (Romans 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

  • We believe that human life is sacred and created in the image of God from conception to its natural end (Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5). Therefore, abortion is a direct violation of God’s law and will. We are unapologetically pro-life, affirming the value of every human life, both unborn and born. As the Church, we are called to defend life and to care with compassion for the physical and spiritual needs of all people.
